Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SarthiLink (“we”, “us”, “the platform”), a marketplace connecting UPSC (Civil Services) aspirants (“Students”) with mentors (“Mentors”) for paid 1-on-1 mentorship sessions. By creating an account or booking a session, you agree to these Terms.

SarthiLink is a booking and payments platform. Mentors are independent individuals, not employees or agents of SarthiLink. We verify mentor-submitted credentials and display a verification badge, but mentorship advice, study guidance, and exam outcomes are the mentor's own — SarthiLink does not guarantee any exam result, rank, or selection.

Unverified mentors may still list and take bookings; they are clearly labeled “Unverified” on their profile and in search. Verification affects trust signaling, not eligibility to mentor.

You must provide accurate information at signup and keep your credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts are for individual use — one person per account.

We may suspend or deactivate an account for policy violations, fraudulent activity, or at your own request. A suspended account cannot sign in; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how this affects pending bookings.

Session prices are set by each Mentor. SarthiLink charges a platform fee (currently 15%) on top, shown to you before payment — never hidden at checkout. Payment is collected upfront through our payment processor (Razorpay) at the time of booking; a session is only confirmed once payment is captured.

A booking that isn't paid for within the allotted window may expire and release the reserved time slot.

Cancellation refunds follow a fixed, published schedule based on how far in advance you cancel — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the exact percentages. This schedule applies equally to every booking; we do not make discretionary exceptions outside it except in cases of platform error.

Mentors agree to show up for confirmed sessions, communicate professionally, and provide accurate information about their background and pricing. Mentor-specific obligations are set out in full in our Mentor Agreement, which every mentor account also agrees to.

Don't: circumvent the platform to avoid fees for a booking initiated here; harass, discriminate against, or misrepresent yourself to another user; upload false credentials; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose. Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal.

SarthiLink is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including the content, advice, or conduct of any Mentor or Student. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
