Mentor Agreement

As a Mentor on SarthiLink™, you are an independent individual offering mentorship services — not an employee, partner, or agent of SarthiLink™. You set your own session prices, availability, and mentorship approach.SarthiLink™ provides the platform: discovery, scheduling, payment collection, and payout.

You may list and take bookings before verification completes — your profile is labeled “Unverified” until then. To become “Verified,” you submit supporting documents (ID, rank card, marksheet, or experience letter) for our review. Submitting false or misleading credentials is grounds for immediate suspension.

You set the price for each session type you offer. SarthiLink™ deducts a commission from that session fee before payout. The standard rate is currently 12%. A reduced rate may apply under the Founding Mentor Program (5%, 8% or 10%, by tier) or through performance-based commission progression (currently as low as 9%). Each reduced rate is governed by its own terms and may be reviewed, renewed or ended under them; any badge you hold is unaffected. Your applicable rate is recorded on your mentor profile, shown to you on every transaction, and won't change retroactively on a booking already made.

Separately, students pay a platform fee — plus GST on that fee — on top of your session fee. That charge is levied on the student, is not part of the price you set, and is never deducted from your earnings. It is not the commission described above, and the two rates are set independently.

Once a session is booked and paid for, you're committing to show up at the scheduled time. If you need to cancel, do so as early as possible — a mentor-initiated cancellation always triggers a full refund to the student, regardless of timing, per our Refund Policy. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in account review or suspension.

Sessions must be professional, on-topic, and free of harassment or discrimination. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you represent about your own background and experience.

Session payments are collected by SarthiLink™ at booking and held until the session is confirmed complete. Payout to mentors currently requires a manual/operator-initiated transfer while automated payouts are being built — your dashboard's Earnings page always shows the real amount owed to you, whether or not it has been transferred yet.

SarthiLink™ may suspend your ability to sign in, or remove your profile from the public directory, for violations of this Agreement, our Terms of Service, or applicable law. You may deactivate your own account at any time; sessions already booked and paid for must still be honored or properly cancelled/rescheduled first.

Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship. You are solely responsible for your own tax obligations arising from income earned through SarthiLink™.
