This Mentor Verification Policy explains how SarthiLink may review information submitted by mentors who offer paid 1:1 mentorship sessions to UPSC and State PCS aspirants. The process supports trust and transparency while recognising that mentors remain independent service providers.
Verification means that SarthiLink has reviewed selected information or documents submitted by a mentor for consistency with the mentor's profile claims. It does not mean that SarthiLink employs the mentor, supervises every session, guarantees examination success, guarantees the accuracy of every statement, or provides a government or institutional endorsement.
Depending on the mentor's profile claims, SarthiLink may request identity information, contact details, examination-related proof, rank or result proof, work or teaching experience proof, education records, public profile links, tax or payout details, and any clarifying information needed to assess the listing. We request only information that is reasonably relevant to the verification purpose.
SarthiLink may compare submitted documents with profile claims, check visible public information, request clarifications, flag inconsistencies, and approve, reject, limit, or defer a verification request. Review may be manual, assisted by service providers, or based on platform records. Processing times can vary depending on document quality, responsiveness, and operational workload.
Relevant criteria may include whether the document appears authentic, whether names and dates align, whether the claimed examination, role, subject, or experience is supported, whether the mentor has complied with platform policies, and whether the claim could mislead Students. SarthiLink may decline to verify claims that are vague, unverifiable, outdated, or likely to confuse Students.
A verified badge or similar label indicates only that selected claims were reviewed at a point in time. It is not a quality rating, safety guarantee, legal opinion, background check certificate, or promise that the mentor will be suitable for every Student. Students should still review the mentor's listing, price, availability, reviews, and session fit before booking.
SarthiLink may allow unverified mentors to create profiles or receive bookings if they otherwise satisfy platform requirements. Unverified status does not automatically mean that a mentor is unreliable; it may mean that verification has not been requested, completed, or made available for a particular claim.
SarthiLink may require re-verification if a mentor changes material profile claims, receives serious complaints, has inactive or outdated documents, changes payout or identity information, or if our standards change. A badge may be removed, paused, or updated if the underlying information is no longer current.
Mentors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is truthful, current, and authorised for sharing with SarthiLink. False, forged, altered, misleading, or unauthorised documents may result in rejection, badge removal, payout holds, suspension, termination, and other action under the Mentor Terms.
Verification documents may contain personal data. SarthiLink handles such data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, applicable Indian data protection principles, and reasonable security practices. Documents may be retained where needed for verification records, fraud prevention, legal obligations, tax records, dispute handling, or audit purposes.
A mentor may request correction or reconsideration by contacting support@sarthilink.com with relevant supporting information. SarthiLink may ask for additional documents and may maintain its decision where the claim remains unverifiable, inconsistent, or unsuitable for display.
Students who believe a mentor has misrepresented credentials may report the concern to support. Issues involving unlawful content, data misuse, or statutory grievance handling may be sent to grievance@sarthilink.com under the Grievance Redressal Policy.
SarthiLink may update verification requirements, accepted documents, badge presentation, and review processes as the marketplace evolves or as legal, trust, and safety expectations change.
