Platform Terms & Conditions

In these Platform Terms & Conditions (the “Platform Terms”):

• “SarthiLink™”, “we”, “us”, or “the platform” means the SarthiLink™ online mentorship marketplace, its website, and related services.
• “User” means any person who accesses or uses the platform, whether as a Student, a Mentor, or a visitor.
• “Student” (or “Aspirant”) means a User who books mentorship sessions.
• “Mentor” means a User who offers and delivers mentorship sessions.
• “Session” means a paid, one-to-one online mentorship engagement booked through the platform.
• “Content” means any text, document, image, review, or material submitted to or displayed on the platform.
• “Role Terms” means the Student Terms or Mentor Terms that apply to a User in addition to these Platform Terms.

These Platform Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and SarthiLink™. By creating an account, booking or delivering a Session, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Platform Terms together with the Role Terms applicable to you and the policies referenced in Section 24. If you do not agree, you must not use SarthiLink™. Where the Role Terms and these Platform Terms conflict on a role-specific matter, the Role Terms prevail for that matter.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to create an account and transact on SarthiLink™. By using the platform you represent that the information you provide is true and that you are not barred from using the platform under any applicable law.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. One person may hold one account; a single account may hold more than one role (for example, Student and Mentor). Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

SarthiLink™ is a booking, scheduling, and payments platform that connects Students with Mentors. Mentors are independent individuals and are not employees, partners, or agents of SarthiLink™. We are an intermediary and are not a party to the mentorship engagement itself. We do not supervise, direct, or control the mentorship advice given in a Session and do not guarantee any examination result, rank, selection, or career outcome.

Access to role-specific areas of the platform depends on the roles granted to your account. Adding a role (such as becoming a Mentor) requires you to accept the corresponding Role Terms. You may switch between workspaces for the roles you hold. We may, acting reasonably, decline, limit, or revoke a role where required by law or our policies.

You agree to use SarthiLink™ only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. You must not misuse the platform, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or harvest data, or use it to harass, defraud, or harm any person.

The SarthiLink™ name, logo, website, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them. Ownership of Mentor and Student materials and the licences that apply are set out in our Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.

The platform relies on third-party services, including our payment processor (Razorpay) and Google services (Google Sign-In, Google Calendar, and Google Meet). Your use of those services is subject to the relevant third party's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control their availability.

Where you connect Google Calendar, SarthiLink™ requests only the minimum Google permissions needed to schedule Sessions and generate meeting links. SarthiLink™'s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. That policy explains what we collect, the purposes and legal bases for processing, retention, and your rights as a Data Principal, and how to exercise them.

By using SarthiLink™ you consent to receive communications from us electronically — including service, transactional, and account notices — at the email address or through the platform. Electronic notices satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing. Marketing communications are sent only where permitted and can be opted out of.

Session prices are set by Mentors. On top of the Session fee, SarthiLink™ charges a platform fee and applicable GST, itemised before you pay. Payment is collected upfront through Razorpay. SarthiLink™ does not store card, UPI, or bank details, which are handled by Razorpay under its PCI-DSS compliant systems. We aim to keep the platform available but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Access may be suspended for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the platform at any time. Where a change is material and adverse to you, we will provide reasonable notice through the platform or by email. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the change.

We may suspend access to an account or feature where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Platform Terms, the Role Terms, or applicable law, or to protect Users or the platform. The grounds and process are described in our Account Suspension Policy.

You may deactivate your account at any time, subject to honouring, cancelling, or rescheduling booked and paid Sessions first. We may terminate an account for serious or repeated breaches as described in our Account Termination Policy. Certain records may be retained after termination as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by law.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless SarthiLink™ and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising out of your breach of these Platform Terms or the Role Terms, your Content, or your unlawful use of the platform.

SarthiLink™ does not warrant the accuracy, quality, or outcome of any mentorship advice, and makes no guarantee of examination success or any other result. Verification of a Mentor signals trust only and is not a warranty of results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SarthiLink™ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including the content, advice, or conduct of any User, or the availability of third-party services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a Session is limited to the amount you paid SarthiLink™ for that Session. Nothing in these Platform Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

SarthiLink™ is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, power or internet outages, failures of third-party providers (such as payment gateways or Google services), strikes, or governmental action.

These Platform Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights and the dispute-resolution process below, the competent courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Platform Terms.

Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through the process in our Dispute Resolution Policy, beginning with our support and grievance channels. This does not limit either party's statutory rights.
