To offer Sessions you must be at least 18 years old, legally able to contract, and genuinely qualified or experienced to mentor in the subjects you list. You are responsible for holding any authorisations required to provide your services and for the accuracy of the background and experience you represent on your profile.
You may submit documents so that SarthiLink can review your credentials and display a verification badge. Verification signals trust; it is not an endorsement, employment, or guarantee of your services. You must not submit false, forged, or misleading documents. The process and its limits are described in our Mentor Verification Policy. Unverified Mentors are clearly labelled and may still list, but verification may be required for certain features.
You are an independent individual, not an employee, partner, or agent of SarthiLink. Nothing in these Mentor Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship. You determine how you deliver your Sessions, subject to these Mentor Terms and applicable law, and you are responsible for your own tools, equipment, and internet connection.
You will conduct Sessions professionally, respectfully, and lawfully, in accordance with our Mentor Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines. You must not discriminate against, harass, or exploit any Student, provide unlawful assistance, or use the platform to promote off-platform services in breach of Section 12.
You set and maintain your own availability, pricing, and subjects. You are responsible for keeping your calendar accurate so that Students only book slots you can honour. Connecting Google Calendar is optional; if you do, confirmed bookings create calendar events and Google Meet links automatically.
You will deliver Sessions with reasonable skill and care, be prepared, start on time, and provide the guidance described in your listing. Persistent quality issues, substantiated complaints, or low standards may affect your visibility, verification, or continued access to the platform.
If you must cancel a confirmed Session, you will do so as early as possible through the platform so the Student can be refunded and rebooked. Mentor-initiated cancellations and no-shows are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy; where you fail to attend, the Student is entitled to a full refund of the Session fee. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to review or suspension.
Students pay upfront through Razorpay. SarthiLink collects the Session fee, deducts the platform commission and applicable taxes, and remits your payout in accordance with our Payment & Payout Policy, subject to any hold for refunds, chargebacks, or dispute resolution. You are responsible for providing accurate payout details.
SarthiLink charges a platform commission on Sessions, as set out in the Payment & Payout Policy. By listing on the platform you agree to the commission in force at the time of a booking. We will give reasonable notice of any change to the commission structure.
You are solely responsible for your own tax obligations on income earned through the platform, including income tax and any GST registration and filing that may apply to you. SarthiLink may deduct tax at source (TDS) or collect tax where required by law and will provide applicable statements. SarthiLink does not provide tax advice; consult a qualified professional.
You will keep confidential any personal information about a Student that you learn through the platform and use it only to deliver the Session. You must not record, publish, share, or retain a Student's personal information or Session content beyond what is necessary and lawful, and you must comply with our Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in respect of any Student data you handle.
Where SarthiLink introduced you to a Student, you agree not to solicit or arrange equivalent paid Sessions with that Student off-platform to avoid platform fees, and not to share personal contact or payment details for that purpose. This protects the platform's trust, safety, records, and dispute-support and is a material term of these Mentor Terms.
You will uphold the Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy at all times. Content you post (profile, credentials, materials) must be accurate, lawful, and non-infringing.
You retain ownership of your own teaching materials and grant each Student a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use materials you share during a Session for their own preparation. You grant SarthiLink a licence to host and display your profile and listing Content to operate and promote the platform. Details are in our Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.
Your access or Mentor role may be suspended for breach of these Mentor Terms, the Platform Terms, our policies, or applicable law, or to protect Students or the platform, as described in our Account Suspension Policy. We may withhold payouts relating to disputed or investigated Sessions pending resolution.
Either party may end the Mentor relationship as described in our Account Termination Policy. On termination you will honour, cancel, or reschedule Sessions already booked and paid for. Confidentiality, non-circumvention, tax, and accrued payment obligations survive termination.
Disputes with a Student or with SarthiLink are handled under our Dispute Resolution Policy. Contact us first at support@sarthilink.com. This does not limit either party's statutory rights.
By selecting “I have read and agree” and continuing, you confirm that you have read and accept these Mentor Terms and the Platform Terms they incorporate. Your acceptance, its version, and the date and time are recorded for audit purposes.
