Referral Program Policy
Last updated 29 July 2026Version 1.0
This policy is the definitive guide to the Mentor Referral Program for Students, Mentors, administrators, and support teams. It supplements the Platform Terms & Conditions and all policies incorporated below.
1. Purpose
The Mentor Referral Program rewards eligible Mentors for introducing genuine new Students to SarthiLink. A referred Student receives the standard Welcome Offer, while the Mentor may receive a reward only after a qualifying paid session and platform verification.
2. Eligibility
Only active Mentors with a valid SarthiLink account may participate. Referral codes are generated automatically and may be customised subject to availability and platform rules.
Only newly registered Students may use a Mentor referral code. Codes are optional and must be applied before the Student completes their first paid booking or any earlier deadline displayed by the platform. Existing or otherwise ineligible Students cannot retroactively claim referral benefits.
3. Student benefits
A valid referral code activates the standard Welcome Offer:
- 50% off the total checkout amount — Mentor session fee, platform fee and applicable GST
- Maximum discount of ₹100
- Minimum Mentor session fee of ₹499
- Valid only on the first eligible paid booking
- Usable once per Student account, for life
A referral code provides no additional discount beyond this Welcome Offer.
4. Who funds the Welcome Offer
SarthiLink funds the Welcome Offer in full. It is a platform marketing cost, not a Mentor cost. The discount is applied to the total checkout amount and is paid for out of SarthiLink's own revenue. The Mentor's session fee is not reduced, so the Mentor a Student books is paid exactly the same amount they would have been paid had no referral code been used.
The ₹75 Mentor reward is funded the same way. Both are recorded in SarthiLink's accounts as marketing and customer-acquisition expense, separately from platform revenue — never as a deduction from any Mentor's earnings, commission or settlement.
This holds whether or not the booked Mentor is the Mentor who referred the Student — and in most cases they are different people, because a referral code does not tie a Student to any Mentor. No Mentor's earnings are reduced to pay for another Mentor's referral, and no Mentor needs to opt in to, or out of, accepting referred Students.
5. Mentor benefits
An eligible Mentor receives a ₹75 wallet credit only after every qualifying condition is satisfied. The reward is a promotional incentive and has no cash value until it is approved, credited to the Mentor's wallet, and processed under the applicable wallet and payout rules. This reward is paid by SarthiLink and is never deducted from any other Mentor's earnings.
6. Qualifying conditions
All of the following must be satisfied:
- The Student registered with a valid Mentor referral code within the permitted attribution window.
- The booking is the Student's first eligible individually paid session.
- The listed Mentor session fee is at least ₹499 before the Welcome Offer.
- The booking and payment are successfully completed.
- The booking is not cancelled, refunded, partially refunded, disputed, reversed, or disqualified.
- The Student account remains active and in good standing.
7. Non-qualifying transactions
- Free Discovery Sessions
- Cancelled, refunded, partially refunded, disputed, or disqualified no-show bookings
- Failed or reversed payments and chargebacks
- Complimentary, programme-credit, admin-created test, internal test, or promotional test bookings
8. Reward lifecycle
Rewards normally progress through Pending, Platform Verification, Approved, and Credited. A reward may remain pending while eligibility or fraud checks are completed. Credited rewards become part of the Mentor's wallet and may enter the ordinary payout lifecycle. Rejected and Reversed are terminal review outcomes unless SarthiLink corrects an administrative error.
9. Student restrictions
A Student may use one referral code and receive the Welcome Offer once. Students must not use multiple codes, create duplicate accounts, change attribution after becoming ineligible, transfer or sell referral benefits, or assist another person in circumventing these limits.
10. Mentor restrictions
Mentors must not refer themselves, create or coordinate fake Student accounts, manipulate bookings, purchase sessions through their own referrals, inflate referral activity, or publish misleading advertisements. Violations may result in reward reversal, referral suspension, wallet adjustment, account suspension, or permanent removal from the programme.
11. Fraud prevention
SarthiLink may investigate signals including:
- duplicate or linked accounts
- shared or repeatedly reused payment methods, mobile numbers, devices, or network addresses
- self-referrals or coordinated accounts
- unusual booking, cancellation, refund, no-show, dispute, or chargeback patterns
- misleading promotion or other attempts to manufacture eligibility
A technical signal does not by itself prove fraud or automatically suspend an account. Material decisions may require manual review.
12. Reward reversal
Pending, approved, or credited rewards may be rejected or reversed if a booking is refunded, a payment is reversed or charged back, fraud is discovered, a policy violation is confirmed, or an involved account is terminated for abuse. A reversal may reduce the Mentor's wallet balance and may create a recoverable negative balance where the credit has already been withdrawn.
13. Wallet credits and payouts
Referral rewards are credited to the Mentor's SarthiLink Wallet. Credits cannot be transferred, gifted, sold, or exchanged outside platform rules. Availability and withdrawal are governed by the Payment & Payout Policy, including verification, payout holds, adjustments, and legal or tax deductions.
14. Welcome Offer interaction
Referral attribution activates only the standard Welcome Offer. The Student's discount and the Mentor's ₹75 reward are separate benefits: one does not guarantee the other, and the Mentor reward remains subject to all qualifying conditions.
15. Offer stacking
Unless expressly approved by SarthiLink, the Welcome Offer cannot be combined with promo codes, loyalty rewards, festival discounts, cashback offers, wallet coupons, or campaign discounts. Only one promotional benefit applies to an eligible booking.
16. Referral code management
Mentors may customise a code if it is available and compliant. SarthiLink may reject, modify, suspend, or reclaim codes that impersonate others, misuse trademarks, contain offensive or deceptive language, violate platform policies, or create user confusion. A code does not become the Mentor's permanent property.
17. Taxes and compliance
Referral rewards are promotional incentives. Mentors remain responsible for applicable tax, reporting, and compliance obligations. SarthiLink may withhold, report, or disclose reward information where required by law.
18. Platform rights and disputes
SarthiLink may modify reward amounts, suspend campaigns, introduce limits, change eligibility, update qualifying conditions, recover fraudulent rewards, or discontinue the programme. Booking changes follow the Booking & Rescheduling Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Challenges to a reward decision follow the Dispute Resolution Policy.
19. Limitation of liability and related policies
Participation does not guarantee rewards, future promotions, continued reward amounts, uninterrupted programme availability, or permanent code ownership. Rewards remain subject to verification.
Participants must also follow the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy.
20. Frequently asked questions
What is a mentor referral code?
A unique code identifying the Mentor who introduced a new Student to SarthiLink.
Do Students get an extra discount?
No. A referral activates only the standard Welcome Offer: 50% off the total checkout, up to ₹100, on the first eligible ₹499+ paid session.
Can a Student use a referral code more than once?
No. The Welcome Offer can be redeemed once per Student account, for life. Once it has been used on a completed payment, no further referral code can be applied to that account.
When does a Mentor receive ₹75?
After the referred Student's first qualifying paid session is completed and the platform verifies every reward condition.
Does the Welcome Offer reduce a Mentor's earnings?
No. SarthiLink funds the discount. The booked Mentor is paid on their full listed fee, exactly as if no referral code had been used — including when the Student books a different Mentor than the one who referred them.
What happens if the booking is cancelled?
It does not qualify. A related pending reward is rejected, and a credited reward may be reversed where permitted.
What if the payment fails?
No Student discount is consumed and no Mentor reward is earned.
Can I use two referral codes?
No. Each Student account may be attributed to only one referral code.
Can I change my referral code?
A Mentor may request an available compliant code. SarthiLink may reject or reclaim prohibited codes.
Can existing Students use referral codes?
No. Referral benefits are for newly registered Students who apply the code within the permitted attribution window.
Can referral rewards expire?
Pending or credited rewards remain subject to verification, reversal, wallet, payout, inactivity, and applicable legal rules.
What happens if fraud is detected?
SarthiLink may hold, reject, reverse, or recover rewards and may take proportionate account action after review.
