Student Terms & Conditions

SarthiLink connects you (the “Student” or “Aspirant”) with independent Mentors for paid, one-to-one online mentorship, primarily for UPSC and State PCS preparation. Mentorship is guidance and coaching only. SarthiLink is an intermediary and does not itself provide mentorship, and neither SarthiLink nor any Mentor guarantees any examination result, rank, or selection.

You book a Session from a Mentor's published availability. A Session is confirmed only once payment is successfully captured. A booking that is not paid for within the allotted window may expire and release the reserved slot. All Session times are handled in India Standard Time (Asia/Kolkata). The mechanics of booking are described in our Booking & Rescheduling Policy.

You agree to join Sessions you have booked and paid for on time, from a suitable environment, with a working internet connection and a device capable of joining a Google Meet video call. You will engage constructively and follow reasonable instructions from the Mentor relating to the conduct of the Session.

You may cancel a confirmed Session subject to the notice-based schedule in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Cancelling with less notice reduces or removes the refund available. If you do not join a confirmed Session without cancelling in advance, it is treated as a late cancellation and no refund is due.

Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Refunds cover the Session fee only; the platform fee and GST on it are non-refundable except where required by law. If a Mentor fails to attend a confirmed Session, you are entitled to a full refund of the Session fee.

You will treat Mentors and SarthiLink staff with respect and courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, abusive language, threats, or any conduct prohibited by our Community Guidelines and Student Code of Conduct is not permitted and may lead to suspension or termination.

Mentorship is intended to build your own understanding and preparation. You must not ask a Mentor to complete examinations, assignments, or official application materials on your behalf, to help you gain an unfair or unlawful advantage in any examination, or to engage in impersonation or malpractice. SarthiLink does not support any activity that undermines the integrity of any examination.

Mentors are independent individuals. Views, study strategies, and opinions expressed in a Session are the Mentor's own and are not endorsed by SarthiLink. You are responsible for your own decisions and how you use any guidance received. You must keep interactions within the platform's intended purpose.

Where you were introduced to a Mentor through SarthiLink, you agree to book and pay for Sessions with that Mentor through the platform, and not to arrange or pay for equivalent Sessions off-platform to avoid platform fees. This protects the trust, safety, records, and dispute-support that the platform provides.

Your personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy. You will respect the privacy of Mentors and must not record, publish, or share a Mentor's personal information, or the content of a Session, without a lawful basis and the Mentor's consent.

When a Mentor has connected Google Calendar, a confirmed booking creates a calendar event and a Google Meet link shared with both participants. SarthiLink does not record Sessions. Any recording by a participant would require the other participant's consent and is outside SarthiLink's control. See our Google API Data Usage Disclosure.

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines, which set the standards of behaviour that keep the platform safe and productive for everyone.

SarthiLink and its Mentors make no representation or guarantee that you will pass any examination, achieve any rank, or secure any selection or outcome. Mentorship supports your preparation; results depend on many factors outside the platform's control.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login secure, ensuring you can attend booked Sessions, paying applicable charges, and complying with these Student Terms, the Platform Terms, and applicable law.

Your access may be suspended for breach of these Student Terms, the Platform Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, as described in our Account Suspension Policy. Repeated no-shows or abusive conduct are grounds for review.

If you have a concern about a Session or a Mentor, contact us first at support@sarthilink.com so we can help. Disputes are handled under our Dispute Resolution Policy and, where relevant, our Grievance Redressal Policy. This does not limit your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

By selecting “I have read and agree” and continuing, you confirm that you have read and accept these Student Terms and the Platform Terms they incorporate. Your acceptance, its version, and the date and time are recorded for audit purposes.
