This Account Termination Policy explains how SarthiLink may close a Student or mentor account, how users may request deactivation, and what happens to bookings, data, payments, and continuing obligations after closure.
SarthiLink may terminate an account for serious or repeated breach of platform terms, unlawful conduct, safety risk, fraud, forged documents, payment abuse, harassment, non-circumvention breaches, prolonged suspension, or conduct that materially harms Students, mentors, the platform, or public trust.
A user may request account deactivation by contacting support@sarthilink.com from the registered email address or through an available account setting. SarthiLink may verify identity, ask for clarification, and require completion or cancellation of pending obligations before closure.
Before closure, Students and mentors should honour, cancel, or reschedule paid sessions in accordance with the Booking & Rescheduling Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Mentors must not abandon confirmed sessions or use closure to avoid refund, tax, verification, or payout review obligations.
After termination, the user may lose access to sign-in, booking, messaging, listings, reviews, Google Meet links, calendar coordination, payout dashboards, and other platform features. Mentor listings may be removed or hidden, and future bookings may be blocked.
Termination does not automatically erase accrued payment obligations. Eligible mentor payouts may be processed after deductions, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, disputes, and compliance holds. SarthiLink may withhold or offset amounts where permitted by the Payment & Payout Policy and the Mentor Terms.
If a Student's account is terminated because of breach, misconduct, fraud, or unlawful activity, the Student may not be eligible for refunds except where required by applicable law or expressly provided by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Each case may be reviewed on its facts.
Account closure does not require immediate deletion of all records. SarthiLink may retain personal data, booking records, tax records, payment records, verification documents, support tickets, dispute files, and security logs where needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legitimate business purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.
Obligations that by their nature should survive termination will continue, including confidentiality, non-circumvention, intellectual property, tax, payment adjustment, dispute resolution, data protection, and accrued mentor payment obligations. Mentor-specific surviving obligations are described in the Mentor Terms.
A user may request review of an involuntary termination by writing to support@sarthilink.com with relevant evidence. SarthiLink may decline restoration where the risk remains serious, where trust has been materially damaged, or where restoration would affect legal compliance or user safety.
Termination may follow a prior suspension, but SarthiLink may also terminate immediately for severe issues. For temporary or investigative restrictions, see the Account Suspension Policy.
Termination-related complaints involving unlawful content, privacy, or statutory grievance handling may be escalated to grievance@sarthilink.com under the Grievance Redressal Policy.
