This policy explains who owns what on SarthiLink, the licences that apply, and how to report infringement. It forms part of the Platform Terms.
The SarthiLink name, logo, brand, website, user interface, design, and software are owned by SarthiLink or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from them.
Mentors retain ownership of the teaching materials they create and share (notes, strategies, resources). Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to SarthiLink. A Mentor is responsible for ensuring they have the rights to any material they share.
When a Mentor shares material during or in connection with a session, the Mentor grants the attending Student a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use that material solely for the Student's own examination preparation. Students must not resell, publish, or redistribute a Mentor's material.
By submitting Content (profile text, credentials, listings, reviews, or materials), you grant SarthiLink a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that Content as necessary to operate, secure, and promote the platform. This licence ends when you delete the Content or close your account, except for copies retained for legal, audit, or backup purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the Content you submit and represent that it does not infringe any third party's rights and is not unlawful. SarthiLink may remove Content that violates this policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
If you believe Content on SarthiLink infringes your intellectual-property rights, send a notice to grievance@sarthilink.com including: (a) your contact details; (b) identification of the work said to be infringed; (c) the location (URL) of the allegedly infringing Content; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised; and (e) a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
As an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, SarthiLink will act on valid infringement notices within the timelines required by applicable law, which may include removing or disabling access to the Content and, where appropriate, notifying the person who posted it so they may respond.
A User whose Content is removed may submit a counter-notice explaining why the Content is not infringing. SarthiLink may reinstate Content where appropriate. Accounts responsible for repeated infringement may be suspended or terminated under our Account Termination Policy.
If you send us suggestions or feedback about the platform, you grant SarthiLink a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it without obligation to you.
