Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines apply to everyone on SarthiLink — Students and Mentors alike. They exist to keep mentorship respectful, safe, and genuinely useful. They supplement, and are enforced alongside, the Platform Terms and the role-specific Codes of Conduct.
1. Treat everyone with respect
Communicate courteously and professionally. Personal attacks, insults, intimidation, and contemptuous behaviour towards Mentors, Students, or SarthiLink staff have no place on the platform, whether in a session, a message, or a review.
2. Zero tolerance for harassment and discrimination
Harassment, bullying, sexual advances, hate speech, and discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, region, language, or any other protected characteristic are strictly prohibited and may lead to immediate suspension.
3. Keep it safe and lawful
Do not use SarthiLink to share, request, or promote anything unlawful, violent, sexually explicit involving minors, self-harm-promoting, or otherwise harmful. Do not solicit or provide help with any activity that is illegal or that undermines the integrity of an examination.
4. Be honest
Represent yourself truthfully. Mentors must not misstate their credentials or experience; Students must not impersonate others or provide false information. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and must not be fabricated, incentivised, or retaliatory.
5. Respect privacy
Do not record a session, or capture, publish, or share another person's personal information or session content, without a lawful basis and that person's consent. SarthiLink does not record sessions. Handle any personal data you encounter in line with our Privacy Policy.
6. Keep mentorship on the platform
Where you were introduced through SarthiLink, arrange and pay for equivalent sessions through the platform. Circumventing the platform to avoid fees removes the trust, safety, records, and dispute support the platform provides and is prohibited.
7. Post responsibly
Content you upload — profiles, credentials, materials, messages, and reviews — must be accurate, lawful, and non-infringing. Do not post spam, advertising unrelated to your mentorship, malware, or links intended to deceive. Technical misuse is covered by our Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Protect minors
SarthiLink is intended for adults (18+). If you believe a minor is using the platform without appropriate consent, or you encounter content that endangers a minor, report it to us immediately so we can act.
9. Role-specific standards
Mentors additionally follow the Mentor Code of Conduct and Students the Student Code of Conduct. Where a role-specific standard is stricter, it applies.
10. Reporting violations
If you experience or witness a breach of these Guidelines, report it to support@sarthilink.com with any relevant details. Serious concerns can also be escalated to our Grievance Officer (grievance@sarthilink.com).
11. Enforcement
Depending on severity, breaches may result in content removal, a warning, feature limits, suspension, or termination, as described in our Account Suspension Policy and Account Termination Policy. We act proportionately and consider context, but we prioritise the safety of the community.
