This Student Code of Conduct explains how UPSC and State PCS aspirants are expected to use SarthiLink when discovering mentors, booking paid 1:1 online sessions, joining Google Meet calls, and communicating through the platform. It helps keep mentorship respectful, safe, and academically honest.
This Code applies to Student profiles, bookings, payments, messages, reviews, support requests, video sessions, and any other interaction connected with SarthiLink. It should be read with the Student Terms, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy.
Students must communicate with mentors, support staff, and other users respectfully. Disagreement about preparation strategy, pricing, or session quality must be raised without abuse, threats, discriminatory remarks, sexual comments, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
Students should join confirmed sessions on time in the Asia/Kolkata timezone, keep the Google Meet link available, and ensure that their device and internet connection are reasonably ready. If a Student cannot attend, the Student should follow the Booking & Rescheduling Policy and any applicable refund timelines.
Students should use sessions for genuine learning, planning, doubt clarification, answer-writing feedback, interview preparation, or career guidance related to civil services preparation. Students must not book sessions primarily to harass mentors, gather personal information, test platform limits, or create false disputes.
Students must not ask mentors to impersonate them, sit an examination, complete assignments, fabricate documents, leak papers, obtain confidential examination material, or provide assistance that violates examination rules or applicable law. Mentorship may include guidance and practice feedback, but the Student's work and examination conduct must remain the Student's own.
Students must not pressure mentors for free extra time, personal contact details, off-platform discounts, romantic or personal relationships, special guarantees, or outcomes outside the booked service. Repeated calls, messages, threats of negative reviews, or refund pressure may be treated as misconduct.
Students must respect mentor privacy and the privacy of any materials or examples discussed during a session. A Student must not record, screenshot, livestream, publish, or share a Google Meet session without appropriate consent and legal basis. Data practices are explained in the Privacy Policy and the Google API Data Usage Disclosure.
Reviews should reflect the Student's genuine experience with a booked session. Students must not post fake reviews, use abusive language, disclose private information, coordinate review manipulation, or demand benefits in exchange for changing a review. SarthiLink may remove reviews that breach applicable policies.
Students must use the platform checkout for paid bookings and must not request direct payments intended to bypass SarthiLink. Payment, refund, and cancellation handling is governed by the Payment & Payout Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Breach of this Code may result in warnings, content removal, cancelled bookings, loss of refund eligibility, restrictions on booking, temporary suspension, indefinite suspension, or termination. Suspension may be handled under the Account Suspension Policy.
Students may report mentor misconduct, safety concerns, payment issues, or platform abuse to support@sarthilink.com. Statutory grievance matters may be escalated to grievance@sarthilink.com in line with the Grievance Redressal Policy.
SarthiLink may update this Code to reflect changes in platform features, online safety standards, Indian law, or operational practices. Continued use after an update may be subject to the updated Code where permitted by applicable terms.
